Since moving into Lakewood, I've developed a new appreciation for small businesses. I love being able to bounce around the city and visit locally owned stores, restaurants, and shops.

The majority of my home decor is from local makers and vendors and I love knowing that I have truly unique pieces that helped support someone right here in Cleveland! It took my awhile to curate the perfect collection of items and plenty of visits to makers marts, markets, and craft shows.

This Small Business Saturday, I'll be following that trend and doing a tour-de-Markets of the Cleveland area. Looking to support some local businesses?

Here's a round-up of the markets and events happening this weekend:

  • Gathering Grounds Holiday Pop Up, Huron (8 a.m. - 1 p.m.): Vendors, sales, and coffee?! Count me in. This Huron Coffee shop will have vendors cozied up inside for Small Business Saturday.

  • Westside Flea, North Olmsted (9 a.m. - 2 p.m.): Vendors range from apparel and accessories to candles and home goods. The indoor market has free entry and food trucks will be on side. The market supports a non-profit with each event. The Small Business Saturday market will support OhioGuidestone with monetary donations and donations of new socks for kids and adults!

  • Stella & Shay Small Business Small Business Saturday, Westlake (9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.): A small group of vendors will have shopping available at the Westlake location of Stella & Shay! PRoceeds from Shella & Shay stocking stufers will benefit families in need this hliday season. Other vendors include Inca Tea, Mara Jean Candles, Hello Bundle and more!

  • Beauty Shop Holiday Bazaar, Ohio City (9 a.m. - 3 p.m.): Head to the absolutely stunning Beauty Shop to see a collection of local vendors and grab a good coffee or tea. This is the first year the event is taking place.

  • Sip and Shop, Parma (9 a.m. - 1 p.m.): Attention - this market will have $5 mimosas! Brunch, art, accessories, and... again... mimosas. This market is led by two true Girl Bosses who wanted Parma residents to see the value in shopping small.

The building alone is worth the visit - it's an amazing space. The market is free to attend and has free parking. The market will also be collecting non-perishable food items and personal care items for the Lakewood Community Service Center.

  • Wildroots Holiday Market, Stow (10 a.m. - 4 p.m.): Another free market full of an amazing array of vendors. The Wildroots market is typically outdoors, but moves inside for the holiday season. Nearly 6o vendors will be in attendance, from foods to home goods.
