Horizontal Books has been offering some of the best book deals in Cleveland since 2009. The more books you buy, the bigger the discount you get.
Your first book comes at 50% the cover price, buy two books at a 60% discount, and purchases of three books or more come at a 70% discount.
The store has a great, and varied, selection. The store purchases overstock title, which makes stock a bit unpredictable - but that's part of the fun!
You may not find the latest book from the New York Times bestsellers list, but you will find a good selection of new books, classic reads, niche titles, and children's books. It's not uncommon to get 4 books for around $30 and, yes, that includes hardcovers - which definitely makes it a store worth your while.
The name may make it obvious, but the deals aren't the only thing that make the store stick out. When you walk in, you're greeted with stacks of books - literally. All of the shelves house horizontal book stacks, sitting on wooden shelves that seem to just go on and on.
Horizontal Books is open for shopping from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
