I recently took 'The Five Love Languages' test and gift giving ranked third on the ways I like to receive love. To me, receiving a thoughtful gift is a true act of love - I love findings gifts that perfectly fit a person and from the second I swipe my card I'm simply giddy to give it to them.
I find the best gifts through local makers and, with Valentine's Day coming up, I wanted to share some of my favorite Cleveland creators and makers with you all!

Free Period Press creates products that help you focus on... well, you.
From Self Care Master Plans, Habit Calendars, adorable stickers, and more - you can gift something truly meaningful (and affordable!) that will be a gift that keeps on giving.
I received the Self Care Index as a birthday gift and love it! Over the holidays, I gifted the Cleveland Metroparks Mini-Guide.

Shelly creates beautiful art that is super giftable! Her pieces range from large-scale murals and landscapes to smaller, frame-friendly pieces.
I first purchased some of her Cleveland skyline sketches during last holiday season and purchased a few more every time I saw Shelly to gift around.
My latest love of hers? Her #MantraSeries, coming just in time for Valentine's Day!

Jewelry can be a great gift... or it can fall flat. I love jewelry, but it's such a personal statement that sometimes I get weary of gifting or asking for jewelry.
Océanne has such classic, delicate pieces that also make a bold statement. I have a hand-stamped necklace that I wear every single day and love it! I've also gifted one of their rhinestone zodiac necklaces with great reviews.

Ok, so... maybe not a marker, per se, but I love Urban Planting Cleveland and have been all about the plants-as-gifts thing.
For Galentine's Day, I picked up a cute little succulent as a gift and was actually pretty sad to part ways with it. .
All of my plants at home are from Urban Planting. If you're going to gift one of their babies, I'd just recommend picking something hard to kill - snake plants are my favorite!
